A fresh new year!

I'm so excited to get this new year started!  Last year was just amazing!  My original painting prices have been on a steady increase thanks to all of you who started collecting my work in the early years.  Can you believe just 6 years ago my 24x30 paintings were only just $55.00!!  Wow!  2010 is going to bring some exciting new things for Shawna Erback Studios.

I have added an even easier way to own my originals with my new Easy Payment plan on www.shawnaerback.com.

I'll be booking more shows and getting out to the public more this year.
My new book Thoughts Of An Artist will be available at the end of January and will have over 60 pages of my best and favorite paintings from the last two years with my thoughts behind the pieces.

I'll be looking more into licencing my work and am working closely with Prodigious Art, Ltd with exciting new projects.

New Book in January!!

I just wanted to let you all know that at the end of January my new book Thoughts Of An Artist will be available!  This book is a collection of my best and most personal paintings from the last couple years.  Colin Lingren from the band Beauti, composed a song "Never Let Go" for my promotional video also coming out in January.  You will be able to purchase my book through Lulu, Amazon, Galleries and right through my website!

Huge painting!

I paint reflections of the past.

A woman once told me that when she looked at some of my paintings, she would think of her mother who had passed away.

She told me a story about a happy moment with her mom and although it was clear to me that this was painful to talk about, bit by bit a smile emerged through the tears she was desperately trying to hold back.

A road to healing starts with memories. Keep them close, even though they are still fragile and delicate.

New Painting!

I started this piece at midnight one night. I was in my studio finishing some work and an image started forming in my head.

It's a serene piece. They are sitting on their swing, alone but not lonely while sweet music floats around them surrounding their quiet world with three gifts, those gifts are theirs to keep and a secret forever.

New Cafepress Item

I love this Journal! I've been writing in my Journal since 06. It's so important to record your thoughts and feelings and it's wonderful to go back months and years to re-read your experiences. I write all sorts of things in my Journal and it's really good for stress. Have you ever thought about writing a short autobiography about your life? I'll bet it's more interesting than you think.:)

It's Fun To Be A Kid!

I am often asked to donate paintings for charities and causes and love to help out whenever possible but when I'm asked to do things for children...Well, I'm delighted! I was asked to make and paint all of the characters for the Crocodile Dock VBS Camp at Trail Alliance Church. (August 24-28). It was fun, and I got to feel like a kid again for a few hours. :)

New Miniature Painting

Some of my dreams are like delicate music notes, surrounding me with their beautiful song waiting for their turn to be something wonderful. Sometimes my dreams come true, sometimes not. That's ok because there's always more lingering in the distance.

A little painting for a little reminder not to forget the dreams of yesterday, today and the future.

New Painting

I have a new painting today. This one is called What Dreams May Come. This painting is about dreams. Some big, some small. One of my dreams is to have horses, to look out my window and see beautiful horses grazing in the pastures below.

Sometimes my dreams seem like tiny glass bubbles floating around me, delicate and fragile, waiting to break at any moment. Other times, my dreams are right there in front of me, and all I have to do is take them, after all they belong to me...don't they?

I have a new painting for you tonight, I've called it Nighttime Lullably and it will look great in a children's room, nursery or anywhere in the house. Right now I have it hanging in my studio and just love how it turned out! It's so... sweet! This original painting is 12x24 and is up for a seven day auction ending on August 18th. New Painting

Just finished this video of a new painting. It sure takes a long time to make a little 2 minute video. I started at around 8am and finished at around 1am. I love making them! This painting is available on my website.
