Just finished this video of a new painting. It sure takes a long time to make a little 2 minute video. I started at around 8am and finished at around 1am. I love making them! This painting is available on my website.

Good News For Kids
International Justice Mission - www.ijm.ca
Pastor Kent Maddigan first heard of IJM at a Jacob Moon concert in 2005.Three years later when his church congregation in Trail, BC was considering what community, national, and global causes to support, he remembered the international work of IJM. Through church offerings and various
fundraising events such as bake sales, barbeques, and an art auction featuring such local artists as Shawna Erback (right). The congregation raised over $40,000, one third of which was given to IJM.

Busy Busy Busy!!
It's been a busy couple months and I am finishing my last orders to get to you in time for Christmas. Thanks for keeping me so busy! I had the pleasure of painting with Master Painter John Einerssen last month at the Yaught Club in Kelowna, BC. http://www.einerssen.com/ and had a very nice time painting with him and his wife for the weekend and was able to learn some really good techniques to apply to my own style. I also signed on with Prodigious Art, Ltd and they will be representing my work in their new gallery. Merry Christmas!

Still looking for the painting I did for my dad so long ago...Everyone who knows me, knows how much I love horses. We used to go horseback riding on my grandparents farm and I remember walking up to the field with my cousins and friends, picking a horse and just jumping on and going for a ride. No saddles, no bits just us and the horses. It did get us into trouble more than once. I'll be starting a new series on my love of horses soon so check back. Here are some more pics of my New York trip. -Shawna Erback-

Back from New York! It's good to be home. I met some wonderful artists and collectors in New York and did really well on my show. Thanks to everyone who purchased my originals and ordered prints. Now I'll be taking the next few months to plan my lineup for next year. Here are some highlights of my trip. It was nice to meet Jane Seymour who was also exhibiting and Morris Katz. Check back for more. -Shawna Erback-

I was thinking about the first painting that I could remember creating for my dad. I would love to have that picture. It hung in my dad's gun room right above his work bench. When I think about it now, it makes me smile to know that he liked it so much that he hung it where he would see it all the time. I'm going to look through old photos and try to find one to post for you. Here's to good memories. Miss you dad. -Shawna Erback-

Well the New York Expo is just around the corner and my deadline is approaching fast. I'm almost finished my paintings for the show but I keep second guessing myself and changing things. I'm excited to be a part of one of the world's largest art show and can't wait to browse other artists works when I'm there. I'll be taking lots of pictures so check back to see some! Also, I'm working on a You-Tube video of my line up so check again in a few days and I should have the link up and running. Bye for now. -Shawna Erback-
